The annual Plant Design Competition took place on May 6th. In the plant design courses, students use high-powered computers to design processing facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, and more recently, pharmaceutical plants. This year’s competition, hosted by Fluor Corporation, required students to design a plant for ultra-low-sulfur-diesel. James Turner and Matthew Reisdorf were on hand to judge the competition.
