Safety Engineering Program

Sections

The Safety Engineering Certificate Program, administered by the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center, is relevant to all engineering disciplines and teaches knowledge and skills required for safety, health, and environmental engineering. The certificate requires 15 hours of courses that are applicable to the graduation requirement:

312 System Safety Engineering or321 Industrial Safety Engineering 3-0 3
489 Engineering Risk Analysis or489/689 Quantitative Risk Analysis 3-0 3
In addition, select:
Any pre-approved engineering capstone design course that includes a safety component. 3-0 3
And select 1 or 2 SENG courses from the following:
